The best fishing pliers for 2026

A pair of pliers on this shelf does three jobs, and a listing that does one of them well is worth more than one that claims all three. The first is reaching a hook, and the figure that decides it is the length: 12 cm on the pullther at 9,99 €, 24,5 cm on the Paradox Fishing pistol grip at 14,99 €, 28 cm on the DELAESI at 8,99 €, 29 cm on the pullther at 12,99 €. A short pair works on a perch; a pike’s teeth start about fifteen centimetres in, which is why the long ones exist. The second is cutting braid, and it is the one that separates a real tool from a cheap one: braid does not cut with a nylon clipper, and the titles say which have the right edge — « Geflechtschneider » on the pullther stainless at 9,99 €, « Wolframkarbid-Schneider » on the TRUSCEND at 30,99 €, which is a tungsten carbide insert and the only thing that stays sharp on PE line.
